Day Three dawned ripe for discovery so we drove around to the other side of Twofold Bay to the National Park to explore the Davidson Whaling Station.
Such a stunning, secluded spot with a perfectly preserved piece of history in the old Whalers Cottage. The bird life was insane...such a beautiful cacophany eminating from the bush.
We stopped for lunch at the Seahorse Inn which does cracking good eats. Relaxing in the sun watching the kids run around on the lawn while the parents enjoyed an afternoon tipple...perfect!
Jack could barely keep his eyes open when the boys returned sandy and soaked from the beach. It was a quiet night in with dinner & a kids movie quickly followed by an early bedtime.
We headed home on Day Four which was just as well, we woke up to wild and windy weather. We stopped at one of the lookouts going over Brown Mountain and took a little stroll to stretch our legs.
Such a lovely long weekend.
And equally lovely to come home to our garden looking like this!
The apple, pear and cherry trees, the bluebells, hellebores, poppies and our flashy fucsia Judas trees all in bloom.
Happy Hols everyone xx
