  6. Hey Em, I hope that as each new day passes that the memories of this time, feel further and further apart from your 'now'. I read your post the other day about your new normal - having gone through quite a painful 'new normal' journey about 4 years ago when my husband's brother committed suicide, I can tell you that a new normal is hard to come to terms with but there are some things that make you stop and realise that out of simply horrible, horrible things, there come blessings in disguise.
Our new normal took a lot of agony and heartache to reach but it also brought about a closeness between my husband and his sister and brother and their Mum, that they have never had. They weren't a family who spoke about the deep things of their lives, now they are. Our kids, though traumatised by what happened, love and look out for each other like never before. We have all tried to adopt a more simple way of life, knowing and now truly understanding, that the important things in life are not found in material possessions but are found in treasuring each other and in showing love at any opportunity. I hope that as you move on and take these next few months to recover and then face your surgery, that you too will see the 'blessings in disguise' that can pop up after what you thought would be a soul destroying time.
My admiration for you as you have shown us all your journey, is just, well I just admire you so much!!! :)
Enjoy your weekend with your hubby and gorgeous little boys
    Gaye xx
