Friday Florals

Its been a lovely week.

Swimming lessons, play dates, lunch dates, visits to the gym and plenty of hanging out in the garden when the wind wasn't blowing a gale. I tried to motivate myself to get cracking and start making things for my Etsy Christmas store but only got as far as straightening out my sewing cupboard and setting aside fabrics to use. Shall dive in this weekend...promise! Harry finally decided to use a little of his birthday money and bought himself a fishing rod, tackle box and a new bike helmet. Hoping to take him fishing this weekend and we're also planning on a family bike ride by the lake if the weather is kind.

Our garden is bursting with heady, sweet smelling blooms...those bees that Harry was chatting to earlier in the week weren't too fussed with Jack rattling the lavender bushes to make them buzz, so he scored his first sting. Thankfully he didn't have a reaction and said nothing more than ouch but he learnt a good lesson...bees bite if you make them cranky...and Mummy & Daddy kind of know what they're talking about when they say leave the bees alone.

So far so good with Jack's first week in his toddler bed. He's worked out how to get down from the bed and shuffle to the gate in his sleeping bag but will get back into bed when we ask him to...with an earnest "ok...sorwy mum" and usually goes to sleep straight away.

Harry started Kindy orientation this week and loved it which is a promising sign. I really hope he is accepted into the school we've applied to. We find out after orientation so fingers crossed. He completely took me by surprise by swimming freestyle across the pool by himself at the end of his lesson...this is the kid who couldn't stand water in his face six months ago. So incredibly proud of him. Think its going to be a great summer on the water with our kayake this year.

Well...best knock over Mt Washmore while the Jackman is still sleeping.

Have a beautiful weekend!

xx Em

Sounds like you have a lovely weekend queued up! Enjoy. And p.s...if those flowers are from your garden, I am jealous.
