All Grown Up.

Our pretty little girls are all grown up now and laying an egg a day. They’ve been kept to the confines of the chicken run for the last couple of months to allow all the new plants and seeds get established, but this morning we let them free range in the garden for the first time and they loved it.

Winter pics

Winter sunshine, kids, chooks, cats, frost and the veggie patch.

Even in the dreariest months of the year there is beauty to behold.

Kids, Cats & Chooks

It's the last day of the summer school hols.

We've been hanging out in the backyard with the cats and the chooks.

The girls got some natural yoghurt as a special treat.

Seems to be a big hit.

I love how relaxed our clucky hens are around us.
They found the bug jackpot in the strawberry patch and blackberry bush.

To sit on the grass and snap away while listening to the girls cluck and Jack chatter is bliss.

It's been such a lovely holiday but now it time to jump back into routine with school runs, swimming and piano lessons and the controlled chaos of first term. We'll miss our great big first grader when he's in class tomorrow.
